CETRI was established to facilitate the formalization of the longstanding multidisciplinary and multi-institutional collaboration for advancing care of electrical shock survivors that was started in Chicago more than twenty years ago. Patients that have their medical evaluation coordinated by CETRI are enrolled in various clinical studies tailored to each patient's unique medical condition. They undergo a comprehensive evaluation performed by a multidisciplinary team of senior faculty at leading medical schools in Chicago. This evaluation typically entails several days of intensive testing.
